Structure based study of the properties of the binding pockets to investigate their potential as drug targets.

My research involves study the compositional, conformational and chemical properties the available binding pockets. I am interested in understanding the structural and chemical variability of binding pockets due to the presence of different small molecule ligands and the effect of such variability to predict the druggability of a given binding pocket. I am also working on building a database of binding pockets targeted by small peptides or other proteins to investigate the druggability of such pockets.
